A detailed schedule/ timetable will be available at a later date.

The event will open with the optional attendance at the 18th International Handbell Symposium Opening Ceremony at dusk on Monday, 6 August, 2018.  This will be held at St Monica’s Cathedral http://www.cairns.catholic.org.au/. Formal registration will be held at the Cairns Convention Centre on Tuesday, 7 August, 2018. This will be followed by three days of massed handchiming rehearsals and massed handchiming rehearsals. On Wednesday afternoon, 8 August, delegates will attend the cultural and environmental fun afternoon and night at Rainforestation Nature Park http://www.rainforest.com.au/. Following the International Handchime Festival Buffet Dinner on Thursday night, 9 August, the handchime delegates participate in a Concert which will showcase their work during the Festival. This performance will conclude the International Handchime Festival.

Non-ringing delegates may, alternatively, register on the tour programme.

For those handchime delegates who wish to continue their stay, they may choose to visit the Cairns Region. On Saturday afternoon, they will have the opportunity to attend the 18th International Handbell Symposium Grand Finale Public Concert which is free for the handchime delegates.  To celebrate the closing of the 18th International Handbell Symposium, the handchime delegates will be able to purchase tickets and join handbell delegates for the International Handbell Symposium Gala Dinner and Closing Ceremony.

A detailed programme schedule will be released closer to the International Handchime Festival.
