International Handbell Symposium registration steps

Step 1 – General registration and $300 deposit collection

  • Open: 1 October 2017
  • Deadline for completing: 12 November 2017
  • Individual and group registrations will be accepted from members of affiliated guilds, and their friends and family. Contact the Registrar at registrarIHS2018@internationalhandbells.org if you are not a guild member.
  • Deposit or full payment can be made.
  • Those registering a group, choir, or team, will NOT be required to provide any detailed information about the individual registrants in the their group other than the number of registrants by category (adult, youth, non-ringer, chaperone, etc.)
  • All registrations will be handled through the Handbell Musicians of America event registration system.  In this step, you will answer basic questions and create your account in the system (if one does not already exist.)  This account will be used throughout all steps of the registration process.
  • Once the basic information is submitted, registrants will be directed to a PayPal payment page belonging to the Handbell Society of Australasia (HSA) where registration deposits will be collected in Australian dollars.  Instructions for the payment process and alternate payment options will be detailed on this page.

STEP ONE REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED

Step 2 – Detailed registration and payment

  • Opens: 13 November 2017
  • Deadline for completing:  full payment of the early-bird registration by the 4 March 2018 and 30 June 2018 for regular registration rate.  After 30 June 2018, late registration fees will apply.
  • On 13 November 2017, all registrants will receive an email with their account number and a direct link to the detailed registration form customized for your registration.
  • In this step, registrants will need to provide final details of their registration including names and dietary needs for all group members, range of bells and chimes, special set-ups, etc.  This will also be the time when optional items should be ordered including foam, polo shirts, group photos, extra meals, etc.
  • Each person in your group will be assigned an Attendee Number, which will be needed for workshop registration in Step 3.
  • As with Step 1, registrants will be directed to a the HSA PayPal page to submit their payment in Australian dollars.

Step 3 – Workshop registration

  • More details about the workshop registration process will be provided at a later date.
  • All registrants will need an Attendee Number (assigned in Step 2) to complete this step.

 

Registration for the International Handchime Festival will be handled in two steps.

Registration for the International Handbell Symposium Youth Festival will be completed in one step and payment in full will be required at the time of registration.

Registration for the Youth Festival will open 1 October 2017 and close 31 March 2018.  To complete registration you will need to provide the following information:

  • Group or individual name
  • Group contact
  • Group contact or individual e-mail
  • Name, age, and email of individual group members
  • Chaperone names and contact information
  • Octaves of bells group will be using
  • Octaves of chimes group will be using
  • Length of tables required
  • Amount of foam pads required
  • Special dietary needs of any individual members of group
  • Will group allow orphan ringers to join you and if so what positions will you have available?
  • For individual registrants, do you have a choir to ring with or would you like an orphan assignment?
  • Group/Individual member Guild

All registration fees will be collected in Australian Dollars.  Once the registration form is completed, registrants will be re-directed to a special PayPal payment screen to pay for your registration.  Step-by-step instructions will be provided on this screen.

Note: When you click the registration button, you will be redirected to a registration page hosted by the Handbell Musicians of America.  A pop-up screen will appear asking you to login to your existing account if you have one.  If you are a member of HMA or have attended an event presented by HMA in the past 7 years, then you have an account in this system.  Please login to that account before completing your registration.  If you are uncertain of the username and password, follow the instructions in the pop-up to retrieve that information.  If you do not have an account, simply click the X in the upper right corner to close the pop-up and proceed with your registration.
