Terms and Conditions

A minimum deposit of $300 USD per registrant is required. Registrations made after April 29, 2022 must be paid in full at the time of registration. Note: If you have concerns about making full payment by the April 29 deadline or with your registration after that date, please contact the HMA national office to discuss options.

Handbell Musicians of America (HMA) reserves the right to refuse participation to any registrant. This includes individuals, groups, vendors, and booth workers. We also reserve the right to terminate participation in IHS and related events at any time during the event for any reason, including but not limited to failure to follow event rules, guidelines, and instructions.  If participation is denied before the start of the event, HMA will refund, in full, any payments received by HMA for such excluded individual’s participation.  If the right to participate is revoked during the event, HMA has no obligation to provide a refund in full or part. While HMA reserves the right to refuse registration to any registrant, HMA will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, gender expression, age, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or military status.

Additional Terms & Conditions for Vendors

All booth workers will be required to pass a background check before the event to receive their event badge. If a booth worker does not pass the background check, another person may be substituted at no additional cost. This substitute will also be required to pass the background check. All booth workers must review and agree to Handbell Musicians of America’s Youth Protection Policy. The Vendor Coordinator will provide details for completing the background check process and the Youth Protection Policy once your registration is completed.

Cancellation Policy

Registrants, Vendors, Booth Workers, and all other attendees at this event acknowledge that significant time and expense are being invested in the planning of this event, and that financial and other commitments are being made by HMA in reliance on the number of participants at the event. All Registrants, Vendors, Booth Workers, and others attending this event acknowledge that even early cancellations result in expenses and other damages to HMA, and late cancellations incur even greater expenses and damages. These expenses and damages are difficult if not impossible to measure, and all attendees therefore agree to the amounts set forth herein as liquidated damages and not as a penalty.

International Handbell Symposium registrations cancelled prior to April 30, 2022, will be refunded less a $300 fee per attendee.  After April 30, 2022, no refunds will be given for cancelled registrations. Notice of cancellation must be sent in writing to the Event Registrar (mclyatt@handbellmusicians.org) and received no later than 5 PM U.S Eastern Daylight Time on April 30, 2022 to receive a refund.

Registrations for College Ring-In International and HMA Seminar Experience cancelled prior to April 30, 2022 will be refunded less a $50 fee per attendee. After April 30, 2022, no refunds will be given for cancelled registrations. Notice of cancellation must be sent in writing to the Event Registrar (mclyatt@handbellmusicians.org) and received no later than 5 PM U.S Eastern Daylight Time on April 30, 2022 to receive a refund.

Registrations may be transferred to another attendee by modifying the registration record.

Vendor registrations cancelled prior to April 30, 2022, will be refunded less a $300 fee. After April 30, 2022 no refunds will be given for cancelled registrations. Notice of cancellation must be sent in writing to the Vendor Coordinator (ihsvendors@internationalhandbells.org) and received no later than 5 PM U.S. Eastern Daylight Time on April 30, 2022 to receive a refund. Additional booth worker registrations are fully refundable until July 1, 2022. After July 1, 2022 no refunds will be given. Notice of cancellation for additional booth worker registrations must be received in writing by the Vendor Coordinator by 5:00 PM U.S. Eastern Daylight Time on July 1, 2022.

Purchases of additional meal tickets, and concert tickets are fully refundable until July 1, 2022. After July 1, 2022 no refunds will be given for cancellation of these items. Notice of cancellation must be received in writing by the Event Registrar (mclyatt@handbellmusicians.org) by 5:00 PM US Eastern Daylight Time on July 1, 2022.
